If I was in charge of these companies I’d seriously institute a thing where they had to make a new IP in between their Halo and Mario sequels. It’s the same problem at Nintendo and Microsoft. Another inFamous is bad enough but to have one of Sony’s best studios wasting their time on another sequel that no one’s going to buy (remember Absolution?) seems a waste to me. Considering how little difference there is new graphics I just can’t see what the point is. Regarding the lack of new announcements from some of Sony’s regular studios I really hope that Santa Monica aren’t just working on another God Of War game. Kudos to Sony for supporting them and by doing so forcing Microsoft to as well. Especially as the games I mentioned aren’t the usual 2D platformers that everyone usually associates with indie games.
